Tipping Point is excited to announce the launch of a live stream showcasing the remediation and demolition of the former Wheeling Inn site, now available on the Wheeling Gateway Center Community Hub at wheelinggateway.tippingpointdev.com.
Remediation and demolition efforts are funded by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and the City of Wheeling. The work is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
In addition to the live stream, the Wheeling Gateway Center Community Hub has been updated with several new features designed to keep the community informed and involved.
A detailed project timeline is now available, offering real-time updates on key milestones and progress. This timeline will allow residents to stay up to date on the various phases of the Wheeling Gateway Center project, from initial remediation efforts to the final stages of demolition and redevelopment.
With more than 4,200 completed surveys and over 120,000 unique data points, the Hub also features a summary of the feedback and experiences that are top priorities to consider in the development of the new Center. Stay tuned as the Wheeling-Ohio Convention and Visitors Bureau works with its partners at the West Virginia State Tourism Department to finalize the new Center!
